Welcome to Jason's Book Club. :)
I talk about 5 books related to my life here in Japan. I provide links to each book at the YouTube page for this video.
I also try out a new Pepsi flavor, Pepsi White, and briefly show my new kotatsu at the end of the video.

Konnichiwa Minnasan! Hello All! Thanks for visiting to read about my adventures in rural Japan. I lived in Shimane prefecture from July of 2004 to July of 2009 as a member of the Jet Programme. Then I went back to Shimane from October 2010 to February 2016 to teach at a Japanese university. Now I teach history at a private high school where the Japanese students learn in English. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Jason, My name is chase and I'm a fan of your blog. i actually came across it by accident while researching the Jet Program. I also was trying to calm myself down from being so nervous about my own JET application by seeing what others were like in the program. Anyway I would like to maybe email you and get some real feedback on what it is like in rural japan other than just the blog. If i do happen to get into the program then i would be getting to japan in july 2009 so i fell that you would be the best to ask advice of. Also if you would like to throw any pointers my way i would really appreciate it. thanks and keep up the good work.
Jason,
Thank you for posting so much info about your JET experiences. I just applied in November (from USA), so if I am accepted I will leave in the summer and I have so much to learn, but I am so excited!!! This is an experience I don't want to miss. I wanted to know did you do a blog on the JET interview by any chance??? Because that is my next step and I am nervous about it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Ganbatte Ne !
Jason,
Thank you so much for posting all your JET experiences. I just applied for the JET Program in November (USA) and hope to be going to Japan in the summer. I have so much to learn, but I am very excited and don't want to miss out on this chance of a lifetime! I was wondering if you've done any blogs on the interview because that is my next step. If you have or haven't can you send me an e-mail at serenadarosa007@yahoo.com. I would really appreciate it. Ganbatte Ne !
